"Tonight the Brunswick School Board voted unanimously to no longer allow the public to attend large gatherings in our schools. This will include things like concerts, performances and events."

We confirmed that this includes our Saturday Regionals. THERE WILL BE NO MAINE ODYSSEY OF THE MIND REGIONAL COMPETITIONS FOR EITHER CHALLENGE OR DISCOVERY REGION.

This is very difficult for teams that have worked so hard for so long, but it is something that we are all facing. We are hopeful that the situation will improve and that we will be able to hold a State Tournament, where all teams will come together to compete. We have done Tournaments with this number of teams in the past and are confident we can put it together in a way that honors our team members’ work. We are currently scheduled to have States on March 28 at Noble High School in North Berwick. We will be getting back to you once we set up the contingencies to check in about potential conflicts for that date, scheduling conflicts, etc., and will keep you apprised of our next steps.
