01 / From the Association Director RISE BEYOND.Year 45...HERE WE GO! A new season brings fresh problems, new possibilities and another opportunity to see what happens when kids take the lead. Whether you are joining us for the first time, returning for another year or a friend of our program, I am glad you are part of Odyssey of the Mind. In our 45th anniversary season, I am challenging our teams, coaches, volunteers, friends and the Maine Odyssey of the Mind Board to embrace our 2027 theme: RISE BEYOND. To RISE BEYOND is to push past what you thought was possible and discover what you can create together. It means turning challenges, mistakes, and unexpected moments into opportunities to imagine, adapt, and grow. In Odyssey of the Mind, we don’t just solve problems, we RISE BEYOND them. RISE BEYOND starts early for Maine Odyssey this season. This summer, our website underwent an upgrade. It's not just window dressing. The last iteration of the Maine Odyssey website served us well for more than 12 years but its technology prevented us from implementing functionality you've been asking for. Our coaches want easier access to training materials and forms, less digging through emails for attachments, and a one-stop shop for critical information. Our refreshed website and newsletter are designed to make it easier to find what you need and stay connected. Visit meodyssey.org to explore the searchable resource library (which will grow and expand as the season progresses), an interactive calendar, a modernized tournament section, and an exciting new training tool you'll learn more about at our season kickoff call on October 15th. Coordinators, coaches, and parents are invited. Please register ahead of time using the link in the website's calendar. Thank you to the coaches, families and volunteers who make room for this kind of learning. Let’s make it a great season! Jason Wheeler
